Allergies
and Allergic Reactions
Callisto Bath & Body lists all product ingredients
on our product packaging (where possible) as well as on
our Web site. Please read the ingredients carefully before
purchasing or using our products, because individual skin
sensitivities vary. We strongly recommend that you do
not use scented bath or body products on your face. Callisto
Bath & Body will not be held legally responsible for
allergies or allergic reactions that occur after use of
our products. Discontinue use immediately and consult
your physician if an allergic reaction occurs. Please

with questions about our product ingredients or fragrances.
Discoloration
of Lotions and Creams
Callisto Bath & Body does not use artificial colorants
or dyes in any of our products. Lotions and creams that
contain fragrance oil may discolor to a light brownish
or pink color over time. This discoloration occurs naturally
in products scented with fragrance oils (especially those
containing vanilla) and will not harm you or the product,
nor will it change the scent of the product.
Separation
of Product Ingredients
Over time and in extreme conditions (particularly during
hot weather) the ingredients in some Callisto Bath &
Body products may separate. If separation occurs, simply
stir the product while it is still warm to reincorporate
the ingredients. Please
email us with any questions.
Storage
and Shelf Life of Products
Store your Callisto
Bath & Body products in a cool, dry place and out
of direct sunlight (i.e., preferably not in a hot, humid
bathroom). Our products are made in small batches as orders
are placed, and our ingredients include a minimal amount
of artificial preservatives. As a result, Callisto Bath
& Body lotions and creams have a shelf life of approximately
12 months. It is beneficial to keep the plastic sealing
disk in place on jars. Soaps and Eau de Parfum have indefinite
shelf lives when properly stored.
Scented
Product Curing Times
Occasionally, you may receive a product with a lighter
scent than what you anticipated. Callisto Bath & Body
products are made fresh to order. Scented products often
benefit from a one week curing time to allow the fragrance
or essential oil to bind with the base product. After
approximately one week, the scent will become stronger,
and notes that you could not detect initially will become
more noticeable. In particular, the fragrances in thicker
lotions and creams tend to strengthen over time.
Scent Intensity
Callisto Bath & Body is glad to accommodate requests
for scent intensity. You may state your scent intensity
preferences (e.g. light, regular, or strong) in the “Additional
Information” box during the checkout process. Please note
that some fragrance oils are strong in character, while
others are light. We encourage you to
email us with any questions if you need guidance
in choosing the right scent intensity.
Dye-Free Products
Callisto Bath & Body does not
use artificial colorants in any of our products. Colorants
are potentially irritating to the
skin, and are harmful to
our environment. If a product is colored, it is through
the use of natural pigments (e.g., rosehip powder, orange
peel, or mineral colorants). These natural ingredients
will always be disclosed on the product description page.
Product Testing
Callisto Bath & Body products are tested by willing
women and men who provide us with objective, honest feedback.
Our products are never tested on animals.
